JOB TITLE: ASPECT MANAGER
JOB LOCATION: Kilkenny
REPORTING TO: Day Operations Manager
CONTRACT TYPE: Temporary (Maternity Leave Cover)

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage Aspect day service following the principles of Low Arousal
Approaches and positive practices for individuals on the autistic
spectrum.
* Manage and support a staff team including monthly staff
supervision, rotas, team meetings, debriefing, and training.
* Maintain a strong presence on the floor that encourages and
promotes best practice to fellow staff members.
* Co-ordination of multidisciplinary supports such as speech and
language therapy, psychology (Studio III), behaviour support, sensory
integration, and ensure implementation of recommendations.
* Ensure service user?s programmes are community based where
appropriate and are meeting the needs of the individual to ensure the
best possible outcomes in relation to wellbeing.
* Maintain regular communication with the individual?s family or
network of support through formal and informal means.
* Liaise with other management within the service.
* Ensure appropriate resources are available for quality service
provision.
* Process and follow up on referrals to the service from HSE, other
services and other stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures,
national legislation, and other applicable standards.
* Complete reports, maintain files and undertake administrative
duties related to the role.

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND/OR KNOWLEDGE
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
* Degree level in social care/ education/ behaviour support or
related fields.
EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum of 2 years? experience in disability and or autism
service provision
* Experience in communicating with families and multi-disciplinary
professionals.
* Management experience a distinct advantage
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
* Have a knowledge of evidence-based practices, methodologies and
approaches found to benefit individuals with ASD and be familiar with
best practice in the field.
* Have attention to detail, be self-directed with the ability to
adapt to new situations, display strong service provision standards
and communicate effectively both verbally and in written format.
* Ability to supervise a team covering all aspects of practice.
* Flexibility, as from time to time additional duties/hours may be
required.
* Full drivers licence
